I am happy to serve in my capacity as a legislative expert and my experience as an agency owner. I am also interested in working with IHCA to create a reliable source of technology for agencies through my new acquisition Computer Corner. We are the largest HP reseller in New Mexico and we are actively becoming a Dell Certified Partner and we build our own computers for business use.

Sharing besting practices across operational areas we all need to run our businesses, create financial leverage with purchasing of a suite of common products, create BPO offering, onboard initial agencies in several use cases of size and complexity.

I’m really excited for the opportunity to work with other individuals who are passionate about providing care to our elderly population. Our elderly should be cherished and our way of doing this is by making sure they get the care they deserve.

A First Name Basis

After having owned multiple independent home care agencies, I am excited for the opportunity to work together with other owners to streamline processes. This will help owners focus on growth opportunities while not being distracted with essential basic requirements that each company has to provide. This is an exciting time in home care when services are being pushed towards the home environment. What a privilege to be asked to participate on this board.

I started looking into potential bpo (business process outsourcing) opportunities to outsource home care specific services to the Philippines (I am Filipino), as I saw potential for developing a service offering to provide valuable services to independents that they otherwise couldn’t afford individually (back office support: accounting, on-call, etc). Never followed through on it, but still believe in the concept/potential.
I believe that creating this community of independent agencies can also be helpful in developing a talent pool of administrative staff to share training, best practices, and upward mobility/growth opportunities – within the community – that make member agencies stronger as a whole (e.g. recruitment for specific roles, job placement, faster on-boarding of new staff with standard training programs, etc.).

So excited about this group never knew there were so many others that felt the same way I did about the pros of operating an independent agency as it pertains to home care!

I’m the founder and CEO, of Senior HomeCare of Tucson. (founded in 2012)

My advice to new owners, would be to never losing sight of your why, do the right thing when no one is watching and lead with purpose, passion and a servant’s heart.

I’ve patiently waited for the unveiling of IHCA since I first heard whisperings. I am now truly honored to sit on the board of the IHCA and help make groundbreaking decisions that will positively impact our industry for decades to come.

I am honored to be considered as a possible Advisory Council member. I have been extremely grateful for the IHCA huddles and opportunities that were held throughout the past year. I looked forward to the Wednesday calls and connecting with other owners. The support and knowledge that was shared during these calls as well as the knowledge that there were other folks out there doing what I was doing; that could offer insight and ideas to help my organization grow and at some times, offer the support that we would survive the pandemic and we were not alone.
